Windscreen repair in Budapest – we come to your car
Picked up a stone chip on the M1, the M7 or somewhere on the Buda side? In most cases the windscreen does not need replacing. We repair the damage where your car is parked – at your home, your office or the company car park – in 30 to 60 minutes, keeping your original factory glass.
What: mobile stone-chip and crack repair on car windscreens, using professional Delta Kits resin injection equipment.
Where: across Budapest – regularly on the Buda side (districts I, II, III, XI, XII, XXII and Csepel), the Pest side by arrangement. Our workshop is in Érd, just outside the city.
How much: 10,160 – 30,480 HUF depending on the type of damage (VAT included). Cracks are charged per centimetre. A replacement screen typically starts around ten times that.
How long: 30–60 minutes, and you can drive off immediately afterwards. No curing time, no waiting a day for the adhesive.
A quick word about language
Let's be straight with you. Our technician, Mátyás, speaks everyday English – enough to agree a time, find your car, look at the damage together and explain what he is going to do. He is not going to give you a lecture on laminated glass chemistry in English.
In practice this has never been a problem, because the important part happens in writing and in pictures: you send a photo of the chip, we reply with the exact price and a time. If you prefer, write to us in English by email or text message and we will answer in English.
Why repair instead of replace?
A windscreen is not a single sheet of glass. It is a sandwich: two layers of glass with a tough plastic film (PVB) bonded between them. A stone chip almost always damages only the outer layer – the film and the inner layer stay intact. That is exactly why a repair works.
We inject a specialist resin into the break under vacuum, so it fills every channel of the damage, then cure it with UV light. The result: the glass gets its strength back, the chip stops spreading, and it becomes almost invisible.
You keep the factory seal
The original bonding between glass and body stays untouched. Nothing is cut out, nothing is re-glued – which is where most post-replacement leaks and wind noise come from.
No camera recalibration
Cars with a camera behind the windscreen need the driver-assistance system recalibrated after a screen replacement. A repair leaves the glass in place, so this does not arise.
A fraction of the cost
A repair costs between roughly 10,000 and 30,000 forints. A new screen for a modern premium car, fitted and calibrated, is in another league entirely.
You drive away straight after
No curing time and no restrictions afterwards. With a replacement you normally have to leave the car standing while the adhesive sets.

If you would like to see what each type of damage actually looks like, our illustrated damage catalogue shows all eight with real workshop photos (in Hungarian, but the pictures speak for themselves).
How it works
- Send us a photoTake a picture of the chip – ideally with a coin next to it for scale – and send it by email or text message. This is the fastest route, and it works regardless of language.
- You get a price and a timeWe tell you which category the damage falls into, what it will cost including the call-out fee, and when we can come. No obligation at this point.
- We come to your carAt home, at the office, in the underground car park – wherever the car is. The repair needs a dry, reasonably sheltered spot, which an underground garage provides perfectly.
- 30–60 minutes and you're doneYou drive away immediately. The repair carries a 5-year, 100% money-back guarantee: if the repaired damage were to spread and become unrepairable, we refund the full repair fee.
Where we come in Budapest
We are based in Érd, immediately south-west of the city, which makes the Buda side and the southern districts our natural territory. We are on the following areas regularly:
- Buda: District I (Castle), II (Rózsadomb), III (Óbuda), XI (Újbuda), XII (Hegyvidék), XXII (Budafok-Tétény)
- South: Csepel, Szigetszentmiklós, Budaörs, Törökbálint, Diósd, Százhalombatta
- Pest side and the outer districts: by arrangement – give us a call and we will tell you honestly whether we can get there and when
If you would rather bring the car to us, the workshop is at 2030 Érd, Iparos u. 42, about 20–30 minutes from central Buda on the M7 or the M6.
What our customers say
All of the reviews below are genuine Google reviews, left in Hungarian – the translations are ours.
"I asked for a repair on a heated windscreen with two stone chips. It turned out perfectly, for a fraction of the price of a replacement screen. The call-out was the icing on the cake."
"Lightning fast, outstanding quality, at a friendly price. A 16 cm crack, 35 minutes from arrival to departure, and after the repair it is almost invisible. Extra credit for the cleanliness and tidiness."

Frequently asked questions
Do you speak English?
Everyday English, yes – enough to arrange a time, find your car, look at the damage together and explain what will happen. For anything detailed, writing works better than talking: send us an email or a message with a photo and we will reply in English.
Can you tell from a photo whether it can be repaired?
Almost always, yes. Take the photo straight on, in good light, with a coin next to the damage so we can judge the size. If the picture is not clear enough we will tell you what to photograph again. The assessment is free and carries no obligation.
Will a repaired windscreen pass the Hungarian roadworthiness test (műszaki vizsga)?
Yes. In examiner practice a properly repaired stone chip is accepted, and no paperwork is required for it – but the work does have to be done properly. A crack is a different matter and will fail the test, particularly in the driver's field of view. The underlying rule is Decree 6/1990 (IV. 12.) KöHÉM: the windscreen must be transparent, free of distortion, and must not obstruct the driver's view.
Can I pay by card, and do you issue an invoice?
Yes to both. We take card payments on the spot and issue a proper Hungarian invoice, which is what your company accounting department – or your insurer – will want to see.
I have comprehensive insurance (casco). Does that cover it?
We are not a contracted partner of any insurer, so we cannot bill them directly. What we do give you is a proper itemised invoice, which casco insurers accept – you then claim the cost back under the terms of your own policy. Worth checking your excess first: on a repair this small, claiming is not always worth it.
My car has a camera behind the windscreen. Is that a problem?
No – and it is actually an argument in favour of repairing. The glass stays exactly where it is, so the driver-assistance camera keeps its calibration. Replacing the screen on such a car means a mandatory recalibration, which adds significantly to the cost.
